I am not really much of a flower person, but these ones appear for one night each year and are dead by mid morning the next day. they are pretty cool. technical name might be yellow flower

The Thin Blue Line has been used for a few things over the years. Often used as a term for the police force, the name of a British TV series and an excellent doco also about police. Its now also the name for these photos
